Anime Squadron Calculator Hub

Plan before you pull. Model your odds for Mythics and the Superior trait. Modelled rates - verify in-game.

Both odds panels below assume every roll is independent, with no hidden counter climbing toward a guarantee. That is our reading of the summon screen, not something Komplex Studio has published - and it is the assumption that makes the numbers get grim as fast as they do. If a patch ever adds a real pity counter, this Anime Squadron calculator turns from conservative into wrong, so check the in-game screen after big updates.

Pity / Summon odds

Our model, not official rates. Komplex Studio has never published summon or trait odds; these numbers come from our own model of them. Treat them as planning estimates and check the in-game screen.

40single pulls
2%chance ≥1 Mythic

At 0.05% per pull. Use the Selection banner to lock your target.

Trait reroll (→ Superior)

4rerolls you can do
8%chance to hit Superior

Superior averages ~50 rerolls. Only reroll confirmed carries - and do it before evolving.

Resource planner

A confirmed carry to Superior + a Selection Mythic ≈ 1250 Trait Shards and a healthy Gem bank. Redeem your codes first.

This panel is the one part of the page that is not an odds Anime Squadron calculator - it just totals what a finished carry costs, so nothing here is a probability.

How pity and summoning works

Anime Squadron summons are flat-odds rolls. Every single pull costs 50 gems and rolls independently, so a long dry streak does not raise your odds on the next pull. A Mythic sits at about 0.05% per pull, which is why the math above climbs slowly. The pity calculator does not promise a unit, it shows the cumulative chance of landing at least one across all your pulls.

The practical move is the Selection banner. It unlocks around Level 10 and lets you lock one Mythic target, which turns a tiny per-pull chance into a guided pull toward the unit you actually want. Save your gems for it rather than burning them on the basic pool.

How trait reroll works (and why Superior matters)

Traits are a separate system from summoning. Once you own a unit, you spend Trait Shards to reroll its trait, at 25 shards per roll. Superior is the trait everyone chases because it gives the biggest damage and survivability boost on a carry. It lands at roughly 2% per roll, so it takes patience.

Two rules save the most resources. First, reroll only confirmed carries, the units you already know will hold an S or A slot, not random pulls. Second, reroll before you evolve, so you are not pouring evolution materials into a unit whose trait you still plan to change.

Worked example

Say you have banked 2000 gems. That is 40 single pulls. At 0.05% each, your chance of at least one Mythic is about 2%. To reach a coin-flip 50% chance you would need around 1386 pulls, which is roughly 69,297 gems. That gap is exactly why the Selection banner beats brute-forcing the basic pool.

On traits, suppose you saved 500 Trait Shards. That is 20 rerolls. At 2% per roll your chance of hitting Superior at least once is about 33%. Hitting Superior reliably (near 90%) takes closer to 114 rolls, about 2,850 shards, so stockpile before you commit.

These figures use modelled rates. The developer has not published exact odds, so treat them as planning estimates and verify in-game, since rates can change each patch.

Calculator FAQ

Does Anime Squadron have a hard pity system?

There is no published hard pity that guarantees a Mythic after a set number of pulls. Each pull is independent at roughly 0.05% for a Mythic, so the calculator models cumulative odds rather than a counter. The Selection banner is the closest thing to pity, because it lets you lock one Mythic target instead of leaving it to the basic pool. Rates are modelled here, so confirm them in-game.

How many gems do I need for a Mythic?

At about 0.05% per pull and 50 gems per pull, you reach a coin-flip (around 50%) chance only after roughly 1,400 pulls, which is close to 69,000 gems. With 2,000 gems (40 pulls) your chance of at least one Mythic is near 2%. The honest takeaway is to save for the Selection banner instead of spamming the basic pool.

What does the Superior trait do and how do I get it?

Superior is the top damage and survivability trait, worth a large stat boost on a carry. You roll traits with Trait Shards at 25 shards per roll, and Superior lands at roughly a 2% chance per roll. That averages about 50 rolls, or near 1,250 Trait Shards, to hit it once. Reroll only confirmed carries, and do it before you evolve.

Should I reroll a trait before or after evolving a unit?

Before. Reroll the trait while the unit is still in its base or mid form so you do not waste evolution materials on a unit that might not keep the trait you want. Once you have Superior locked, then push the evolution line and the Mythic gear set.
