Anime Squadron Update Log
Every version in one place - pick an update, then filter by new units, balance, events, maintenance, codes or CCU milestones. Current build UPD 1.5. Last checked 2026-07-14.
Quick answer
- Current build: UPD 1.5, checked 2026-07-14. UPD 1.0 and UPD 1.5 have both shipped.
- UPD 1.5 added the Demon Slayer wave (Akoza, Tanjaro, Rangaku), Infinity Train content and Leader Skills.
- Komplex Studio publishes no patch notes - this log is rebuilt from the code trackers and community tier lists, not an official changelog.
- New patches land roughly every 2-3 weeks; CCU-milestone codes fire in between.
Update Timeline
Tap a version, then narrow it down by what you're after. Dashed cards are announced but not yet confirmed live in-game.
A Demon Slayer-flavoured expansion: a new banner, a new raid boss, and the arrival of Leader Skills - team-wide damage buffs that changed how squads are built.
New Demon-line unit. Both outlets place it top-tier: a poison-stacking boss killer with a respawn mechanic. [PGG][DES]
Sun Breathing DPS with execution mechanics; Destructoid ranks it A-tier and pairs it with Nazaka support. [PGG][DES]
Damage-over-time DPS whose stacks detonate for burst instead of ticking. Destructoid ranks it S-tier. [DES]
A second Gometa on a Dragon/Water line, built around stacking buffs for boss killing. [PGG][DES]
On-kill summons and zone AoE. The outlets disagree on how good it is - PGG moves it to S, Destructoid keeps it A - which is a fair sign the meta is unsettled. [PGG][DES]
Named as a banner unit alongside Tanjaro in the Demon Slayer wave. [PGG]
Units now grant team-wide damage buffs keyed to element/trait tags, which is why squad-building suddenly rewards matching tags rather than just stacking raw DPS. [PGG][DES]
The 1.5 wave added Infinity Train content - Destructoid lists Rangaku evolution material as an Infinity Train Squadron 4 HARD drop, and the InfinityTrain! code shipped with the patch. [DES]
The patch shipped with UPD1.5! (100 Trait Shards, 1k Gems, 5k Gold) plus DifficultyChanges!, SETYOURHEARTABLAZE! and InfinityTrain!. All live and listed on the codes page. [PGG][BEE][THG]
Rates and balance move with the meta, not a public spreadsheet. Cross-check the live codes list before you redeem, and the tier list for how the current patch actually plays out.
What each tag means
A unit that entered the roster with this version, pullable or evolve-gated.
A read on how the meta moved. Marked as unofficial unless Komplex Studio actually published numbers.
Limited-time content: raids, banners or milestone shops tied to the patch.
A maintenance window or compensation code, not a numbered patch.
The redeem codes that shipped with or during this version.
A concurrent-player or total-visits threshold code, independent of content patches.
How this log is verified
Anime Squadron doesn't ship with a changelog. There's no official Trello, no dev blog, and the in-game update notice is usually a single line. So this page is built from four things: the codes we redeem by hand, the content that visibly appears in-game (a new raid, a new banner), what Komplex Studio's Discord confirms directly, and - only when nothing else is available - what the wider community consistently reports on tier lists after a patch settles.
That last category is the weakest link, and we label it that way. A unit climbing a tier list after a patch could mean a real stat buff, or it could just mean the patch added a boss that finally rewards a unit's existing kit, the way Garu and Baras did in UPD 0.75. We'd rather tell you we're not sure than dress up a guess as a confirmed patch note.
Announced-but-unconfirmed entries (like Update 1.0 right now) sit in a dashed card until we verify them in-game ourselves.
Leader Skills, the UPD 1.5 change that actually matters
UPD 1.5 gave some units a team-wide damage buff keyed to element and trait tags. It is the reason squad-building suddenly rewards matching tags instead of just stacking your three biggest hitters - a leader with the right buff can be worth more than a stronger unit that buffs nothing. These are the only per-unit numbers any public source states, and the outlets below agree on them, so unlike our summon-rate estimates these are quoted facts rather than our model.
+30% Protagonist · +10% Divine
Buffs the whole team, so a squad built around Protagonist-tagged units gets more out of Gometa than its own damage suggests.

+30% Dragon · +10% Water
The 1.5 Gometa variant leads a Dragon/Water squad instead; both outlets quote the same split.

+30% Antagonist · +10% Nature
Bralu's 1.5 passive rework is why it climbed the lists - the team-wide buff outweighs its personal output.

Update log FAQ
What is the current Anime Squadron update?
UPD 1.5 is the live build as of 2026-07-14, per the Roblox game page and the tier lists tracking it. UPD 1.0 and UPD 1.5 have both shipped; 1.5 brought the Demon Slayer wave, Infinity Train content and Leader Skills.
Does Anime Squadron have official patch notes?
No. Komplex Studio has never published a numbered changelog, Trello board or public wiki for this game. We do not play it either - this timeline is reconstructed from the codes the trackers publish and from the tier lists that re-rank the roster after each wave (Pro Game Guides, Destructoid, Beebom). Treat all of it as a secondhand read, because that is what it is.
What changed in Anime Squadron UPD 0.75?
Two new Mythic units, Garu (Half-Monster) and Baras (Meteoric Burst), joined through the Hero Hunter event, plus four codes tied to the patch. There's no official stat-change list - the units climbed to S-tier on community boards mainly because they fill a role (water-element Sub DPS) nothing else covers yet, not because a number was buffed.
How often does Anime Squadron update?
Roughly every two to three weeks so far: launch on June 13, UPD 0.5 late that month, UPD 0.75 on June 28, then UPD 1.0 and UPD 1.5 through July. Milestone and apology codes land in between the numbered patches, so the day a patch drops is the day worth checking.
What were the Anime Squadron CCU milestone codes for?
Komplex Studio drops a code every time the concurrent-player count crosses a round number - Tysm5kCCU! up through Tysm80kCCU!. They're tied to server population, not to a content patch, which is why several can fire inside the same version and why they're useless once the count moves past that number.
Is Anime Squadron Update 1.0 out yet?
UPD 1.0 and UPD 1.5 have both shipped - 1.5 brought the Demon Slayer wave, the Infinity Train content and Leader Skills. Komplex Studio publishes no formal patch notes, so this timeline is reconstructed from the code drops and from the tier lists that track each wave (Pro Game Guides, Destructoid), not from an official changelog.
