How the Anime Squadron code cycle actually works
Codes here aren't random strings someone made up. Komplex Studio ties them to three real triggers, and knowing which one you're looking at tells you how long a code will last.
Codes like Tysm10kCCU! through Tysm80kCCU! fired as concurrent players climbed. All expired now, but they explain the odd naming if you find one in an old screenshot.
UPD0.75! and the current UPD1.0! ship with numbered content patches. These carry the biggest rewards and usually run 1-2 weeks before rotating out.
MaintenanceTooLongGrrr! and similar strings appear after unscheduled downtime, as compensation. They're one-offs, not a recurring schedule.
We do not play the game. Every code here is listed by at least two independent public code lists (Pro Game Guides, Beebom, Try Hard Guides, PCGamesN). Last pass 2026-07-14, on UPD 1.5.

What Anime Squadron actually is
Anime Squadron is a lane-battler tower defense: you summon anime-styled heroes, drop them along the lane, and hold off escalating waves across Story, Squadron, Challenge and Raid modes. That structure is what makes the codes worth chasing - the Gems you redeem feed banner pulls and the Rerolls feed traits, so a code's real value depends on which units you're building toward.
Two things trip up new players, going by the redemption steps the code lists all repeat. The Codes button only appears after the short tutorial, so anyone trying to redeem on the loading screen concludes the code is broken when it simply isn't reachable yet. And codes are case-sensitive, doubled punctuation included - SryForLongMaintenance!! is exactly the kind of string that fails when retyped and works when pasted.
If you are early, the top-tier unit worth chasing is Puppeteer (Transcendent), an aggro tank you do not have to gamble Gems on at all: both Pro Game Guides and Destructoid say the base unit drops from the Katakara Bridge Challenge, with its evolution item on that same challenge's Hard Mode. A farmable S-tier carry beats a banner you have to pray at.
How we compile these codes
Plainly: we do not play Anime Squadron, and nothing on this page is a first-hand in-game test. What we do is track the public code lists - Pro Game Guides, Beebom, Try Hard Guides and PCGamesN - and publish a code only when at least two of them list it independently. Where they disagree on a reward we state the smaller figure; where they disagree on whether a code is still live, we leave it in the expired list rather than send you to type a dead one. Last pass 2026-07-14. Codes rotate fast, so treat the in-game redeem screen as the final word.
What a code payout is actually worth
Every active code on this page pays in some mix of Gems, Trait Shards, Gold, Reroll Cubes, Perfect Cubes and Bounty Tickets, and those currencies are not interchangeable. A quick caveat before the numbers: Komplex Studio has not published official rates, so the figures our calculators run on - a 50-Gem single, a 0.05% Mythic, a 25-Shard reroll landing Superior around 2% of the time - are our working model, not gospel. We keep them on this page rather than hiding them so you can judge the maths yourself.
On that model, the 1k-Gem codes buy roughly twenty singles, which is a nudge toward a specific Mythic rather than a plan for getting one. Trait Shards behave differently: a 100-Shard code is four rerolls, and four rerolls at those odds will usually miss. That is not an argument against redeeming them - it is an argument for pooling Shards across several codes and spending the whole pile on one unit you have already decided to build, instead of dribbling four rerolls each into three different units and finishing with three mediocre traits.
Gold and the cube currencies are the quiet ones. They never compete with your pull budget, so there is no decision to agonise over: bank them and spend when the content that wants them unlocks. If you want the arithmetic done for you rather than eyeballed, the summon calculator converts a Gem balance into pulls-needed odds for a named target, and the trait reroll calculator does the same for Shards.
Which banner should your Gems go into?
The Basic banner is the default pool, and it is where nearly every roll you will ever make lands. Commons and Rares make up the overwhelming bulk of it; Epics show up occasionally, Legendaries rarely, and a Mythic sits right at the bottom of the table. That makes Basic good for volume - roster filler, fodder, and eventually something worth keeping - and a poor way to chase one particular unit. Each unit's listed pull rate is on the units page if you want to see where your target actually sits.
The Selection banner is where a target becomes reachable, because you lock what you are pulling for: it unlocks at account level 10 and lets you name the Mythic you want. Worth knowing, though, that some of the strongest units are not on a banner at all - Puppeteer (Transcendent) is farmed from the Katakara Bridge Challenge, not pulled. Our own rule of thumb - editorial, not a game rule - is to spend early code Gems on Basic while you fill out a roster, then bank everything for Selection once you know which carry you want.
One unit is worth breaking that rule for. Fastwagon is an Epic, so it is reachable from Basic pulls, and both outlets call it the dedicated money generator - it makes your Gold, which funds everything else. It is not the only unit that touches your economy (Falcon is listed as boosting Yen gain too), but it is the one built for it. Pulling Basic until Fastwagon lands, then banking for Selection, is the ordering we would follow on a fresh account. The value list scores every unit by what it returns per Gem invested at each stage, which is the honest way to settle this question for your own account.
Reroll traits before you evolve, not after
This is the single most expensive ordering mistake in Anime Squadron, and it is easy to make because evolving feels like progress. A trait sits on top of a unit and multiplies its base stats, and Superior is the one everyone wants. Komplex Studio publishes no trait numbers, so treat the figures we model for it (roughly +300% damage, +300% HP, +30% range, an extra deploy slot) as our estimate rather than a spec sheet. What matters for ordering is that a trait carries through an evolution, travelling with the unit into its evolved form.
That last detail is the whole rule. If you reroll the cheap base form and hit Superior there, the evolved form inherits it for free. If you evolve first and reroll after, you are gambling 25-Shard attempts on a unit you have already sunk a questline into, and a miss costs you the same Shards for nothing. Goki is the textbook case: reroll the base or Full Power form on the way to Gometa, not the finished SSJ4.
The traits themselves are not equal either - Superior is the ceiling, but Deadly, Swift, Blessed, Sturdy and Wealthy each suit different roles, and Wealthy on Fastwagon is worth more to a young account than a Superior on a bench unit. The traits tier list ranks them by reroll priority, and the evolution guide lays out which units are evolve-gated so you know where this rule bites.
Where the codes fit into a normal week of play
Codes are a top-up, not a strategy. Look at the names on this page and the pattern is obvious: they cluster around numbered updates (UPD 0.5, UPD 0.75, UPD 1.0), around unscheduled downtime, and - during launch week - around concurrent-player milestones. That is a bursty supply tied to events, not a schedule you can plan around, which is why the useful habit is checking the day a patch lands rather than checking daily out of hope.
What keeps an account moving between drops is a repeatable loop. This is the routine we suggest, not an official one: daily, pull the Selection banner if you have banked enough Gems, collect the AFK Chamber, clear your Daily Challenges, run a Raid for evolution materials, and redeem anything new here; weekly, spend Bounty Tickets, put your Trait Shards into a reroll on a carry you have already committed to, and farm Primal Cores for the evolution you are working toward. Our daily checklist is that same loop, saved on your device so you can tick it off without making an account.
If you are new, do these in order: redeem everything on this page, pull Basic until Fastwagon lands, bank Shards rather than spending them thin, and pick one carry to fund. The beginner fast-start walks the same path in six steps, and the raid guide covers the point where most accounts hit their first real wall.
Anime Squadron codes FAQ
What are the latest Anime Squadron codes?
As of 2026-07-14, the working codes include DifficultyChanges!, UPD1.5!, SETYOURHEARTABLAZE! and more - all listed and copy-ready above.
How do I redeem Anime Squadron codes?
Launch the game, finish the tutorial, tap the "Codes" button on the left, paste a code (they are case-sensitive), and hit Redeem.
Why isn't my code working?
Codes are case-sensitive and expire fast. Copy-paste rather than retype, and check the expired list - if it's there, it's no longer redeemable.
How often do new codes drop?
New codes arrive with each version update (UPD 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5...), at concurrent-player milestones, and as apology codes after maintenance. The supply is bursty rather than scheduled, so the day a patch lands is the day worth checking.
Which Anime Squadron code gives the most rewards right now?
DifficultyChanges! is currently the biggest single redeem: 100 Trait Shards · 2k Gems · 3 Perfect Cubes. Run it first, then work down the active list - some stack, some don't, and the game tells you either way.
What were the old CCU milestone codes for?
After launch (released 2026-06-13), Komplex Studio dropped a code as the concurrent-player count crossed milestones - Tysm5kCCU! and Tysm10kCCU! early on, up through 40kCCU!, 50kCCU! and Tysm80kCCU!. All are retired now, but they stay on this page's expired list so a stray code from an old screenshot doesn't confuse you.
Is there an official place to catch codes before this page updates?
Komplex Studio's Discord (https://discord.com/invite/JYeG2zEBNm) usually posts a code within minutes of a patch or milestone. We pick codes up once the public code lists carry them, so a brand-new drop can reach this page a little later than the Discord does.
How far do the Gems from a code actually go?
Komplex Studio doesn't publish rates, so we work from a model: a 50-Gem single and a 0.05% Mythic. On that basis a 1k-Gem code like DifficultyChanges! is about 20 singles - a nudge toward a target, not a guarantee. The summon calculator runs the same model against a specific unit.
